NYC Attraction NY SKYRIDE Helps Hungry New Yorkers with a Food Drive, Gives Discounts for Donations

One of the premiere NYC attractions, NY SKYRIDE is committed to supporting the city it celebrates. From November 1- December 31,2009 NY SKYRIDE, located in the Empire State Building, is working together with the Food Bank for New York City to collect canned goods for hungry New Yorkers.
With this food drive, New York sightseeing has become compassionate—and economical. By visiting www.skyride.com/fooddrive.html , guests can download a Food Drive Appreciation Certificate that, combined with a can of food donated at the NY SKYRIDE Box Office, allows them to purchase a NY SKYRIDE admission ticket for only $15.00. Additionally NY SKYRIDE will donate $1 to the Go Orange campaign for each admission. Individual donations for the cause can be made at; http://help.foodbanknyc.org/nyskyride.
Partnering with the New York City tourist attraction for this food drive, the Food Bank For New York City provides 300,000 free meals served daily to New Yorkers in need. At least 1.3 million New York City residents are at risk of going hungry. The majority of them are women and children, the elderly, people with disabilities and the working poor.
